Founded in 1976 as one of the first domestic violence shelters in California, La Casa works every day, side by side with survivors to stop the cycle of violence and build lives free from abuse. We provide refuge for individuals who have no safe place to go. We empower individuals whose voices have been silenced by abuse. We speak boldly to change public perceptions about domestic violence. 

The impact of our free, multilingual and culturally inclusive services is best described by the survivors we support:

Your donation of $25.00, given on behalf of the Social Giving Circle of the LGBTQ+ neighbors, will help us continue responding quickly to address crises and provide the kinds of support needed to strengthen our community.

Your donation will be used to reinforce the stability of local families, support children experiencing post-pandemic anxiety, and help fight food insecurity. Your gift will help expand legal services for East Bay immigrants applying for citizenship and asylum, support homebound seniors and aging Holocaust survivors as they manage ongoing isolation, and provide comprehensive support to Afghan refugees as they build lives in our community.
